I purchased our tickets months ago (with park reservations) and had to change the name on one. I didn't realize changing that would remove the park reservations from that pass. Now the park we will be in is full. Do I have any options?

Hi Lisa! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney!

I'm so sorry that your plans got a little mixed up before your trip.  With it coming so quickly I know you're probably putting the finishing touches on your itineraries and starting to pack Minnie ears that match every outfit perfectly.  Hopefully, this will be the only little blip in an otherwise practically perfect vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.

By the wording of your question, I'm not sure if you simply changed the name on one of your Theme Park Tickets or if you reassigned one of the tickets to another Guest.  If you just changed the name, but the ticket holder was the same, the reservation should not have changed.  If, however, you reassigned the ticket to a new Guest, that is where the change in Park Pass Reservation came about.

I spoke to a Cast Member about your question this morning and they were willing to look into the issue that arose for you.  With your confirmation number handy I would suggest contacting a similar Cast Member either through the Existing Tickets phone line at (407) 934-7639 or through the Chat feature on the Walt Disney World Resort website.  Hopefully, they will be able to make all your wishes come true, but there are no guarantees.

If you can't seem to work around the Park Pass issue, you still have some great options! Of course, your entire party can move your Park Pass Reservations to other available days that work for every ticket holder.  Since you won't be making Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selections until the day of your visits, you won't have to worry about losing out on your time slot to return to a ride without the wait!

You might also think about adding on the Park Hopper Option to your ticket or planning to use it that day if you already purchased it.  With the Park Hopper Option, you and your entire party could make a Park Pass Reservation at a different Park in the morning and then switch to the original Park in the afternoon, since you do not need a Park Pass Reservation for your second, third, or even fourth Park of the day! This would ensure that your entire party gets to spend the entire day together.

I hope everything gets worked out and you're able to have the most magical vacation, Lisa!
