Jennifer from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I just purchased tickets a month ago and we were supposed to go on 9/6/22 and can no longer go. How long do we have to use the tickets. Can I change one of the names on the ticket to someone else?

    Hi Jennifer, welcome to planDisney!

I completely understand that plans change all the time. Luckily, if you purchased your tickets this year from the Disneyland Resort website, you have plenty of time to use them! One-day tickets are valid through December 30, 2023, and multi-day tickets are valid through January 12, 2024, or within 13 days of first use, whichever occurs first. So hopefully this gives you options to reschedule your trip for a future date that will work better!

And just so you have all the relevant information related to your standard theme park tickets, I have information regarding ticket expiration. In the worst case that your tickets happen to expire, even then you still have options! Per Disney's eTicket Terms & Conditions, any wholly unused, expired Disneyland Resort theme park tickets (except for special event tickets or tickets purchased from a third party), can be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket in equal or greater value to what was paid for the original ticket. So don’t worry, you are covered!

And I have MORE good news! The names assigned to standard theme park tickets are more to help Guests organize their party members. Tickets are not assigned to a Guest until the Guest walks through the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Turnstiles, and has their ticket scanned and the photo taken by the Cast Member. So no further action is needed on your part!

I hope this helps, but if you have more questions, please visit us again!

    See ya real soon!
