Hi, I had purchased 6 tickets with military discount and was told they are still valid until September 2021 but my problem is they are exchange certificates which need redeem I live in Puerto Rico how can I reserve a park without having a redeem ticket

    Hi Magdiel! Welcome to planDisney.

On behalf of my fellow panelists, I’d like to thank you for your service to our country. Mine is also a military family, and we’re very grateful for the fantastic special offers extended to our military members during their visits to the Walt Disney World Resort.

I have good news for you. Since you have purchased your Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets and have the exchange certificates, you just need to follow a few easy steps so that you can make your Disney Park Pass reservation. First, you’ll need a My Disney Experience account and profiles set up for each member of your party. I like to use the My Disney Experience mobile app for these steps, so my instructions will be for the app, but the steps for the desktop version are very similar.

Once you’re logged in to My Disney Experience, tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom right. Then, tap “Tickets and Passes” and then “+” and then “Link Tickets & Passes.” This is where you will enter the ID number on your exchange certificate – it’s usually on the back. If you’re not sure where to find the ID number, tap “Where is the ID number” to see sample certificates with the ID number highlighted. Link each exchange certificate to each Guest (I like to write the name of the Guest on each ticket with a permanent marker). Once your tickets are successfully linked, you’re ready to make your Disney Park Pass Reservations. If you have any trouble with this process, call the Friendly Cast Members at (407) 939-4357 and they will help!

Note that because you have exchange certificates, you’ll need to visit a Guest Relations location when you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort. These can be found outside each theme park and in Disney Springs. You’ll show your military ID and the exchange certificates, and the Cast Member will magically turn those exchange certificates into ticket cards.

Magdiel, you will need Disney Park Pass reservations for each day you plan to visit a theme park. Visit the Disney Park Pass web page and follow the steps; this handy video is a great overview. Once you have your Disney Park Passes set, you’ll see them in the “My Plans” section of My Disney Experience.

Thank you for stopping by! Once your tickets are linked and your Park Pass reservations made, you’re ready to focus on all the fun parts of planning and imagining the fantastic time you’re going to have. If you think of any more questions, please come back and see us.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
     Robyn
