Hi Kathy,
As an adoptive mama myself, it makes my heart SO happy to hear that you will be celebrating being a forever family together at the most magical place on earth. Congratulations!
I have some great news for you. All Guests under three years of age receive free admission to the theme parks as well as extra events, like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. You'll simply let the Cast Member know that he's only two years old when you arrive and he'll be able to pass through the entrance gates, ready to experience all the awe and wonder of my very
favorite special event of the year. The only place where you want to make sure you add him is on any dining reservations. He'll still eat for free (unless you decide to order him his own meal), but you want to make sure there's a seat at the table for your little prince!
As for special ways to celebrate his adoption, one Disney quote that is all about family is when Lilo says in Lilo and Stitch, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." A delicious dinner at
'Ohana or an
Ohana-themed souvenir could be a really special way to celebrate your son's adoption. You may also feel free to ask for complimentary "I'm Celebrating" buttons that can be personalized with "Our 'Ohana,""Forever Family," or whatever message you'd like. Another idea is to chat with the experts at
Disney Floral and Gifts - they're
amazing at making celebrations SUPER special! Finally, be sure to have a Disney PhotoPass photographer capture your family in a big hug along Main Street U.S.A. during the party. You'll cherish that photo forever!
Kathy, I hope that your vacation with your Mouseketeer is truly magical!
Missy
