Season's greetings, Lynn! I am dreaming of the holidays and cooler weather, and my countdown to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights has begun! I'm so sorry to hear that a change in your travel dates will prevent you from attending the party, but you may still have some options.
First, you can
get in touch with a Cast Member and explain your situation. Party tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, but it never hurts to reach out and provide information related to the change in your travel dates. I can't make any guarantees, speculate on the options they might provide you, or suggest what might happen during your conversation, but I think it's certainly worth trying to see if something can be done.
In the event that you still have these tickets after your call, you have the option to reassign them to someone on your
Family & Friends List. That would be the ultimate Christmas present for someone you know who may be traveling to Walt Disney World Resort this December, and you can complete the process on the Disney World website or via the
My Disney Experience app.
To do it online, log into your My Disney account, hover over your character icon in the top right corner, and click on "View My Plans & Tickets." Scroll to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" heading, then click the "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" tab. You'll see all your party tickets there and can reassign them to a family member or friend using the drop-down menu on the right hand side. If using the app, tap the hamburger menu (☰), choose "My Tickets & Passes," then swipe to the appropriate ticket. You can reassign the ticket by tapping the icon of a person that is labeled "Reassign Ticket." Voilà!
Even though you won't be able to attend the party, there's still a ton of
holiday magic awaiting you this December, Lynn! I'd book a scrumptious holiday dinner at
Liberty Tree Tavern, learn about holiday traditions around the globe at the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and check out the fun & festive entertainment over at
Disney Springs. Time spent with family is what the holidays are all about, and I can't think of a better place to do it than Disney World. I am wishing you an enchanted and pixie-dusted vacation!
Stay magical,
Scott
