    We purchased tickets with MaxPass January of 2020. With Genie now taking over, will our tickets automatically have them or do we have to re-purchase the Genie? Do we get a refund on the MaxPass portion that we can just use towards Genie?

    I’m sorry you were unable to take advantage of the Disney MaxPass you purchased before the Disneyland Resort theme parks were forced to close in March 2020 due to the pandemic. Disney MaxPass was such a cool program that combined the ability to make Disney FASTPASS selections, with unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads for the day. Melanie, Disneyland Resort has been offering Guests refunds for their previously purchased Disney MaxPass. To submit an inquiry for a refund, simply head to https://disneyland.disney.go.com/help/email/. In the drop-down box for “Subject”, select “Disney MaxPass Refunds”. Alternatively, you can also contact Disneyland Resort at (714) 781-4636 to speak with a Cast Member and learn about your options. 

    At this time, there is no set date just yet for Disney Genie service’s debut. I suggest staying up-to-date by checking out Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland.com for the latest park news. If you have more questions for us, please don’t hesitate to write us again. We’re all EARS!
