Hello I purchased tickets for magic kingdom how can purchase I fast pass

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

So you cannot purchase FastPass access, but I can help you plan your day!

Back at the start of 2022, Disney replaced FastPass with a new suite of programs designed to match the different needs of different guests with regards to getting faster access to attractions. These programs are essentially the replacement for the FastPass program.

But don't worry! You will still be able to get that convenient, shorter line experience you did in the days of old!

The new combined programs of Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes are here to help! There is also the related Virtual Queue program, and I will describe all three, just so you know how they all work together.

Disney Genie+: This is a single-day purchase option that allows you to access the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane entrances for a reduced wait time, much as a FastPass would in the days of old. You can choose the next available boarding time at any of the 40 attractions currently listed across the four parks. You book that next magical experience and then get to enjoy some other activities in the park until your ride time comes. All guests, whether they are Disney Resort Hotel guests or not, can purchase the Genie+ program and book their first attraction at 7 am that same day. After that first ride, you select the next, and so on!

Individual Lightning Lane: These are typically 1 or 2 of the more popular attractions at each of the given parks where you can pay for an arrival window time. The prices vary, based on demand, and you can purchase these, even if you are not using Disney Genie+. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel you can make an Individual Lightning Lane purchase starting at 7 am the day of your visit, while other guests can start ordering when the park opens.

Virtual Queue: The Virtual Queue program is typically in place for only one or maybe two attractions at Walt Disney World at a time. It is for the newest, and most popular attractions. It is not an extra charge program, and at select times throughout the day, you try to get a reserved ride time for later that day. The first queue opportunity is at 7:00 a.m., and there will usually be a follow-up opportunity at 1:00 p.m. There is no preferential selection time for someone staying at a Disney Resort hotel, so 7 a.m. is the time for everyone.

There are three ways to get into the faster lightning lanes. One way, Genie+, works much like the old FastPass, but all through your phone, and for a flat daily rate. The second, Individual Lightning Lanes, also work through your phone but are for just a few select rides, and are on a per-ride basis. The third, Virtual Queue, is free and works much like Individual Lightning lanes.

But where do you buy and select Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane reservations?

Just open your My Disney Experience App on your smartphone that morning, and you will see a prominent link on the home page of the app to make the purchase. Once done, you can then make your first selection, as soon as the clock strikes 7:00 am (Orlando time)!

Please feel free to write us back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
