I purchased tickets and made reservations for November 21/22. We'd like to purchase the season passes that on 8/25 as I understand there are a limited # of passes. Will we be able to get credit for our unused tickets towards the pass?

    Hi there, Camilla!

Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for taking the time to visit us on planDisney with your great question!

I’m so glad that Disney recently made the long-awaited announcement regarding the new Magic Key pass program! I sense that you’re excited and eager to become a Magic Key passholder on August 25th! Like you, I’m looking forward to being able to visit the Happiest Place on Earth more often with the help of this new program.

Depending on the type of ticket you have, you may be able to apply the value towards the purchase of a Magic Key pass. Promotional tickets and offers cannot be used to upgrade to a Magic Key pass; however, a regular, non-promotional theme park ticket can be upgraded! Starting August 25th, you’ll be able to purchase or upgrade to a Magic Key pass on Disneyland.com or Disneyland mobile app

Did you know? In celebration of Disneyland Resort’s 66th Anniversary, if you upgrade to or purchase a Magic Key pass during the first 66 days this program begins, you’ll receive an exclusive welcome package mailed to your home address. It includes a limited-edition pin, a special magnet, a unique Disneyland, and much more!

I hope this information is helpful for you. Please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again if you have more trip-planning questions.

    Wishing you a pixie-dusted day,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
