I purchased tickets and made park reservations from Disney website. Once we arrive, do we go straight to the gate and then we scanned in? Our tickets have our names on them. Do we need to bring ID to verify that we are the ticket holders?

Hello, Nicola! Thanks so much for coming back to ask us another question at planDisney. We love seeing Guests return!

You are just days away from walking through those turnstiles and walking on Main Street, U.S.A. Once you arrive on property, you can head straight to the park where you have a reservation and a Cast Member will scan your tickets for entry. You shouldn't need an ID for verification unless your tickets are a special resident promotional ticket, like the Southern California Resident Weekday Ticket Offer, which requires proof of residency.

Once you are in the parks, you have the option to purchase Disney Genie+, if you did not purchase the service at the time you purchased tickets. Otherwise, you are good to go and explore the magic and there is lots of magic in the parks right now! At Disneyland Park, you can join in on the festivities of the Disney100 Celebration. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. I recommend grabbing a Sip & Savor Pass for the family, so you can all grab a bite or two to enjoy and share. Don't forget a Mickey Mouse-shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS! It's my favorite!

Nicola, thanks again for sending a question our way. You've got a friend in us!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mama and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. We love that we are close enough to Disneyland Resort to make a last-minute trip to see the Mouse quite frequently. You'll find us in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can fit in! I love helping my friends plan memorable trips to Disneyland Resort and can't wait to help you too! Learn More About Carrie
