Jennifer from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I purchased tickets on July 16, 2021 that were never used. I still have the barcode for the tickets. Is there a way I'm able to transfer the purchase price of those tickets to new tickets to be used in September 2022?

Hi there, Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney. We’re so glad you’re here.

I’m so happy to hear you’re looking to book a visit to Walt Disney World in September, especially since you’ll get to visit during Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration. It really is such a special time to experience the magic, and you'll feel the EARidescent excitement in the air from the moment you arrive. Make sure you keep an eye out for the 50 golden statues of the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection. These adorable statues are placed throughout all four theme parks and are perfect for a fun photo op. Plus, if you decide to purchase the fabulous new MagicBand+, you’ll have an opportunity to interact with the statues! All you need to do is wave your hand, and you’ll hear a special message from your favorite characters. How cool is that?!

So, let's chat about your tickets, shall we? Your unused theme park tickets have expired, but their value remains valid under your account. So, the value of the tickets can be used toward a future ticket purchase. To apply the value of this ticket, you will need to call the Existing Tickets team at (407) 934-7639. One of the many fabulous Cast Members on this team will be happy to help you with this. Unfortunately, there is no way to use the credit online at this time, so you’ll need to call.

Now, one thing to remember is that the tickets must be completely unused. Meaning, if you purchased your three-day theme park ticket and did not use any of those days, you can use the value of that ticket toward a future ticket purchase. However, the ticket would no longer hold any value if you visited a theme park and scanned in one of the three days.

Also, since a theme park reservation is required to enter the first park you plan to visit each day, I recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Calendar to ensure availability on your dates before purchasing your ticket. I would hate for you to purchase your tickets and not be able to visit your preferred parks!

I can't wait for your adventure to begin! I just know you will make memories that will last a lifetime! Please do visit us again with any other Walt Disney World vacation planning questions that may pop up! We are always here to help you make the absolute most of your vacation experience.

    Have a magical day!
