I've purchased tickets for my husband & I for our upcoming trip, but don't know how to give him access to them. He has a MDE account, & I want to make sure that he has his tickets & can use our Genie + too.

    Hello, Ricci!

I'm excited to keep planning your Disneyland Resort visit with you! Let's jump right in and make sure your husband is ready to be the perfect companion for your visit to Disneyland Park.

There's not much better than a day at Disneyland Park with your favorite person! For your husband to be able to access your tickets you'll want to have him download the Disneyland Mobile App on his own device. He can sign in with his regular Disney account profile information, so it should be pretty easy! Once you've both downloaded the app and signed in then you can both follow these steps to add your tickets to your husband's account:

    • Open the app and tap the "≡" to access the main menu, then select "Tickets and Passes" to access the ticket menu.
    • Your phone should already show your tickets in this menu if they're linked to your account. Your husband will need to tap "Link Tickets & Passes" at the top right.
    • When your husband gets to the next menu he can tap the "Open Camera" button at the bottom of his menu.
    • Your husband can use his phone to scan the ticket barcodes on your phone. Then the tickets will also show in his account!
With your tickets linked to your account and your husband's account, you'll each have the ability to use Disney Genie+ as a team! You'll each be able to select Lightning Lanes, join Virtual Queues, and even share Disney PhotoPass Digital Photos. One of my favorite Disney Genie+ benefits at the Disneyland Resort is that our pal the Genie grants the wish of unlimited downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos and attraction photos!

One last quick tip: gathering attraction photos at the Disneyland Resort is a little different than Walt Disney World Resort. When you exit an attraction that takes a photo, such as Space Mountain, you'll see screens with photo previews. Each photo has a unique ID with it that you'll need to add to your account in the "Photos" section of the Disneyland Mobile App. I like to snap a quick picture of the preview photo with the code, so I can link them in my app when I have a minute!

Ricci, I have had the best time helping you prepare for your visit to the Disneyland Resort. If you have any other questions at all you're welcome to send me a note and I'll be back in a flash to help you keep planning!

    Keep moving forward!
