Hey there again, Karinne! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm thrilled to get a chance to help you out with another great planning question regarding your upcoming trip to Disneyland Resort.
According to the
Theme Park Ticket information and purchasing page, all children under the age of 3 years do not require a ticket for entry into the theme parks. They will be allowed into the parks without a ticket with an accompanying adult that has a valid ticket and theme park ticket reservation. You do not have to bring any documentation or get any sort of ticket to allow your 2-year-old to enjoy the parks with you. Hooray!
I did want to make sure you were aware of the
Rider Switch feature. Rider Switch allows Guests with younger children to take turns riding a participating attraction. Your group would approach the attraction and let a Cast Member know you want to utilize Rider Switch. They will then instruct the first group to join the queue line, while one or two from your party stays behind with the youngsters. Once the first group returns from the attraction, the second group will approach the Cast Members and they will instruct you on how to use Ride Switch and which queue line to join. This is such a great service for families who want to enjoy a variety of attractions but may not have a grandparent or extra Guest that enjoys staying behind to watch those who are too small or frightened to enjoy some of the attractions.
Karinne, thanks again for bringing us a great question. I will leave you with a Disneyland Parenting Pro Tip. Purchase a balloon when you get into the parks or bring some decor to attach to your stroller. Your stroller will be hanging out in a sea of other strollers and could even get moved if needed while you are busy riding an attraction. Having a unique marker on your stroller will make it much easier to spot when you return to retrieve it! See you real soon!
