Hiya De, and thanks for bringing your question to
planDisney!
I’m so excited for your upcoming visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth! It sounds like you’re the planner for your group, and as my family’s planner, I can relate to this role, too! I’m happy to report that your group doesn’t have to enter at the same time, so you can all enter at your own pace. You’ll just want to make sure that the rest of your group that won’t be entering with you has the
Disneyland app downloaded, and has their tickets linked to the app for easy access at the entry turnstiles.
Here’s what they’ll need to do: Once they’ve downloaded the Disneyland app, they can tap on the three lines in the lower right-hand corner of the navigation bar. Select “Tickets and Passes” and select “Link Tickets and Passes” in the upper right corner. If you’re together, they can scan the barcode of their ticket from your app, and it will immediately link to their app. They can also enter the 18-digit ID number manually if that’s easier. Now, they should be all set to scan into the entry turnstiles at
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park, with or without you.
If your group plans on using
Disney Genie+ Service, just keep in mind that it doesn’t start working until each Guest has entered Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. So, if part of your group arrives later, they may not be able to get the same
Lightning Lane entrance times since those change throughout the day. Also, Individual Lightning Lanes change frequently, too, and some are not available as the day goes on. So, if your group has their heart set on riding a certain attraction together, you’ll want to make sure you are all scanned into the parks and ready to use Disney Genie+ at the same time together.
I also love using the Disneyland app to
mobile order food and drinks throughout my Disney days, De! This handy helper has saved me from many toddler (and adult!) meltdowns!
I hope this information helps you start making your magical plans. Please stop by with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!
Hope to see ya’ real soon!
