Hello, I purchased tickets for my family for our trip to Disney World. This included tickets for my daughter, son in law and 4 grandchildren. The app currently shows I manage their tickets. Can I transfer that to my daughter through friends and family?

Hiya, Jennifer! Planning a trip to make magical memories with your children and grandchildren at Walt Disney World Resort is a wish your heart makes. I am so glad you stopped by planDisney to get everyone's tickets set up so you can jump right in and start dreaming.

It sounds like you are already connected with your children and grandchildren as Family & Friends. If not, be sure to add everyone.

On the My Disney Experience app, you can assign tickets with a few simple steps:

    1. Open the main menu (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen)
    2. Select "My Tickets & Passes"
    3. Scroll to the side to find the ticket you want to assign
    4. Click "Reassign Ticket" and choose the family member

You can also assign tickets online by going to My Plans, scrolling to "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" and selecting the "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" tab.

With tickets assigned to everyone in your family, you should be able to easily make plans together, including purchasing Lightning Lane passes and selecting attractions, joining Virtual Queues and sharing Disney PhotoPass pictures.

Since you mentioned the tickets are showing as managed by you, I am going to share information on MyDisney accounts, just in case you find it helpful. If you create a MyDisney account for another Guest, it is managed by you. For Guests 13 or older, you can transfer the accounts so they are managed by them. To do this, you can open their profile from your Family & Friends list and select the option to "Add an Email." An email will be sent for them to accept and manage their profile. If they have tickets assigned, they will move with the account.

Accounts for children 12 and younger cannot be transferred. They can only be managed by the adult who created them. If your daughter wants to manage her children's accounts, she would need to create them and connect their accounts with yours before you assign the tickets to them.

You would still see everyone in your Family & Friends list and make plans together; they would just no longer appear in your list as "Managed by Me."

I hope I was able to give you the information you need. If you have any follow-up questions, you can ask me directly. And there is a whole group at planDisney who welcome the opportunity to help you make the most of your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

    Thinking of the Happiest Things!
