Hi, I just purchased tickets for my family. Would I also have to purchase a ticket and reservation for my 9 month old? Thank you

    Hey there Audrey,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! It sounds like you have a fun trip to the Happiest Place on Earth coming up Just Around the Riverbend. How exciting!

I'm happy to share that children under 3 are considered Guests of Mickey at the Disneyland Resort and are free! This is something my family and I have taken advantage of for our oldest (his first visit was when he was nine months old as well) and our youngest (who first visited when she was six months old).

Visits with babies and toddlers are most definitely a different pace than I was used to in my younger years. In my experience, they're a bit slower and there can be a little more logistical planning - especially if your Mouseketeer needs to fit in naps throughout the day.

However, an absolute game changer for my family and me during these years was discovering the Baby Care Centers in both parks. These are such convenient places to take little ones for a quick snack break in a cool, quiet environment. They also have a  nursing room with chairs, changing tables, a feeding area with highchairs, and if there are older siblings, there are also Toddler-size toilets! I can't recommend highly enough utilizing this free amenity during your trip.

Otherwise, we're often asked about strollers here at planDisney so I like to point people to the Disneyland Resort stroller rules - so you're not surprised when you arrive! I would also recommend tying on a colorful piece of fabric or something similar so it's easier to spot yours in the sea of stroller parking.

Lastly, when I've visited with my family with little ones, we purchased Disney Genie+ service, which was even more important for us since it provides shorter wait times through Lightning Lanes for some of the more popular attractions. However, an often overlooked feature is that you also get unlimited downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos! We've made it a point to stop at as many Disney PhotoPass photographers as we can so that we end up with an amazing photo album worth of professionally shot pictures by the end of our trip.

Thank you again for your question, Audrey! You're going to have such a fun visit.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
