I purchased tickets to Disneyland/CA Adventure on the same day as oogie boogie bash. Do I have to pay extra to stay in the park at the time or the event or do I have to leave when the event starts if I do not purchase special oogie boogie tickets?

Well, hello there, Brianna! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! How frightfully fun that your visit to the Disneyland Resort will coincide with the spellbinding Halloween Time! Can you believe it? As of right now, we're actually a little more than halfway to Halloween, so it's ghoulishly exciting to think that the season of tricks and treats will be here before we know it!

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party is indeed an awesome and incredibly popular event, brimming with fiendishly fun entertainment for the whole family! Many happy haunts and curious Guests often wonder exactly how this special nighttime party works if they're visiting the park during the day with a standard park ticket. So, let's shed some light on the details for you!

Oogie Boogie Bash is a separately ticketed, after-hours event, so to join in the bewitching party festivities, a special event ticket is needed. On these select nights, Disney California Adventure Park begins its magical transformation for the party a little earlier than its usual closing. For Guests not attending the bash, this simply means the daytime adventures in the park will be drawing to a close around then, as the park gets ready to welcome the specially-ticketed partygoers.

Of course, another wonderful option, if you're intrigued by all the ghoulish good times, is to consider purchasing a ticket for Oogie Boogie Bash itself! I had the chance to attend for the first time last year, and Brianna, it was an incredibly fun and memorable evening. The treat trails are absolutely brimming with delightful goodies, it's such a unique opportunity to see so many notorious villains strutting their villainous best, and the Frightfully Fun Parade is a spectacle you won't want to miss. If that sounds like a boo-tiful addition to your plans, it's definitely worth looking into as tickets become available!

But if attending the bash isn't in your plans for this visit, don't you worry, Brianna, because you've got some other great options! For instance, if you have a Park Hopper ticket, when it's time for Disney California Adventure Park to conclude its regular operating day, you can simply "hop" like a happy ghost over to Disneyland Park! It’s typically open later on these evenings, giving you more time to continue your magical day there. Or, if you happen to have 1 Park Per Day tickets and are visiting for multiple days, you might have a bit of flexibility. In that case, you could check the theme park reservation availability to see if it’s possible to switch your park reservation for that specific day from Disney California Adventure Park to Disneyland Park. If there's availability and you're able to make that switch, you could then enjoy a full day and evening at Disneyland Park without worrying about the early closure at Disney California Adventure Park.

Brianna, I hope this helps you navigate your visit and plan for a wonderfully wicked time! No matter how you choose to spend your evening, Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is sure to be a scream.
