Howdy, Gail! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so glad you are planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort this summer! The magic has certainly returned and you and your family are going to have a great time! As you probably know, the expiration date of your tickets has most likely been automatically extended. For instance, if you had multi-day tickets that originally expired on January 12, 2021, you now have until December 16, 2021 to use them. Check the
"Theme Park Tickets & Reservations" page (scroll all the way down to the "Modifications and Cancellations" section) to see the new expiration dates for a variety of tickets.
To answer your first question, as long as none of the tickets were used, you don't need to worry about the name assigned to the tickets online or in the
Disneyland app. Theme park tickets aren't officially assigned to an individual until you arrive at the park gates and have your picture taken by a Cast Member. A physical ticket will also be printed at that point that people can use for the rest of the trip (or they can continue to use the digital ticket in the app).
For your second question, yes, you do need to
make theme park reservations for each day of your trip. It sounds like your tickets are already linked to your Disneyland Resort account, but if not, be sure to link them first by clicking the "Link Tickets" link under the "My Disneyland" menu on the Disneyland Resort website. With your tickets linked, you can then make theme park reservations. If you have Park Hopper tickets, you will make a reservation for the park you want to start at each day and then at 1:00 p.m., you can hop to the other park.
I hope this helps! Have a great time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
