Hello, and welcome to
planDisney, Bruce!
Thank you for consulting planDisney, I appreciate your patience. As a fellow Canadian resident, I fully understand and empathize with your situation, especially with the difference in the exchange rates between the Canadian and US dollar currencies.
Bruce, in referring to the current
Important Information section from the Disneyland Resort – Returning to a Land of Magic resource, it states, “While the FASTPASS and Disney MaxPass services have been retired, our new Disney Genie service is now available. If you're currently holding a ticket with Disney MaxPass, please submit an enquiry via email or call (714) 781-4636 to learn more about your options. If you use your ticket with a Disney MaxPass entitlement for park entry once the Disney MaxPass service has been retired, you will have until the expiration date set forth on your ticket to choose an option for your Disney MaxPass entitlement. Please keep a copy of your ticket after its use, as the ticket number is required when requesting an option for your Disney MaxPass entitlement. We will be unable to honour any new requests for an eligible ticket after its stated expiration date.”
Bruce, what I recommend is that you find your ticket purchase confirmation and the expiration date and ID numbers for your existing tickets and contact
Disneyland Resort - Tickets via phone or via the
Disneyland Resort - Help Center email as soon as possible for direction and support.
Hopefully, you will be able to apply the value of your existing theme park tickets toward the purchase of new Disneyland Resort tickets, and if so, please sign into your Disney account online to link the tickets to your account by accessing
Tickets and Reservations or the
Link Tickets in the dropdown under the
My Disneyland planning area. If you have a set date for your visit to Disneyland Resort, and keeping the expiration date of your new tickets in mind, please make your
Disneyland Resort – Theme Park Reservations for each valid day of admission, as this is the process of visiting the theme parks at this time.
If you prefer to link your new tickets to your
Disneyland App, please sign in and from the main page select the Feature Menu on the bottom right. On your Welcome Bruce page, please select the
Tickets and Passes tile and once on the
Tickets and Passes page you will see a blue barcode, please tap the barcode to link each ticket by scanning the barcode, or you can enter the ticket ID manually for each ticket, one at a time.
Bruce, I apologize if I’ve inundated you with information, I want to make sure that I have covered all angles with any potential new tickets. I hope all works out in your favour with your existing tickets and that you can visit soon to enjoy one of the current
Disneyland Resort Special Offers and Discounts to offset the difference in the exchange rate a little.
Best Disney Wishes!
Jacqueline
