Hiya Karen! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding park reservations on the day you'd like to visit the Disneyland Resort.
October brings a lot of spooktacular fun and many Guests come from a galaxy far, far away to visit during this time of the year. This does make reservations a little tricky, but you may have a few options.
Karen, if there is no flexibility in your date, the best course of action will be to closely monitor the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. This is where you can see which parks are available to book on each day. While it may currently show no availability for your preferred date, that is always subject to change. As Guests change their Disneyland vacation plans, they may cancel or modify their theme park reservations. If they cancel on the date you're looking for, it will show availability in the calendar. If you see a reservation become available, you should
make your reservation quickly!
Another thought, Karen. If you purchased your ticket via the
Disneyland Resort Website and remember selecting a specific park, it is likely that you already made a theme park reservation during that process. When you purchase your tickets this way, you usually choose your date and a "starting park." Once you finish the checkout process, that date and starting park become your theme park reservation. To check if this is the case for you, hop over to the Disneyland Resort Website and hover over the "My Disneyland" icon. Select "Ticket and Reservation Details" from the drop-down menu. On this page, you'll find all of your active tickets and theme park reservations. If you did make a reservation for
Disney California Adventure Park, you'll see it here.
I am keeping my ears crossed that you already do have a theme park reservation! If not, I'll wish upon a star that theme park reservations become available to you before your trip!
Have a magical day,
Ashley
