Welcome to planDisney, Annette!
Thanks for stopping by with your great question about
Disney Park Pass theme park reservations.
I know that navigating the phased reopening of the Most Magical Place on Earth can be quite confusing at times, that's why we are hEAR to help you! Annette, I regret to inform you that purchasing a Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket does not guarantee entry into the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
All Guests ages 3 and up need both a valid theme park ticket and a theme park reservation to enter the theme parks during the
phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort. It is possible to purchase tickets and not be able to
make a theme park reservation. I always recommend Guests
check the theme park reservation availability calendar first for this reason. Theme park reservations can be here one day and gone the next which is why it is never too early to make your theme park reservations.
However, not all hope is lost. Occasionally, theme park reservations become available as Guests cancel or modify their Walt Disney World Resort vacations. I encourage you to check the theme park reservation system daily!
Additionally, the value of your unused and unexpired ticket can be used towards the purchase of a theme park ticket in the future.
Annette, if you have any additional questions, please visit planDisney again. We are always hEAR to help you!
