Hey Howdy Hey Torben and welcome to planDisney!
Disney has done a great job over the years with re-imagining the vacation experience for all of us excited Walt Disney World Resort goers. With the additions of MagicBands and MagicMobile pass last year, having physical tickets or the need to scan anything separate has virtually disappeared! Let's review how you can access your tickets for your upcoming trip first.
It sounds like you are already one step ahead of the game since you have your tickets linked to your
My Disney Experience app. Great Start! Since you have your tickets already linked, you can access them in several ways. The first is with
MagicBands.
Once you get to the states, you can purchase MagicBands throughout many locations across Walt Disney Resort. They have them in most Disney resort gift shops, in the shopping district of Walt Disney World at
Disney Springs as well as many locations inside the parks. These will be able to link to your
My Disney Experience account and you will have access to everything linked right from your MagicBands. With a simple tap at any access point, you will be able to access your tickets, unlock your room if you are staying at a Disney Resort Collection hotel and even have charging privileges! So much convenience from one small band!
The next option is your
Disney MagicMobile Service. This is a pass that works essentially just like a MagicBand just digitally! You can set it up from your My Disney Experience account and you would use your phone at all the access points to tap in and let the Magic begin! One of the best parts about this option is that it is free and you can do this from your home now. Once you log onto your My Disney Experience app, tap on the three horizontal lines on the bottom right to bring up the main menu. Look for the tile "Disney MagicMobile", tap on that one and follow the prompts to set it up for you or anyone in your party.
The only potential reason you might need an email with a bar code or anything is if you needed to access your tickets through Will Call. This will require you to stop by Guest Relations and check in with the Cast Members to activate your tickets.
I wanted to also make sure that since you have your tickets already linked, you were also able to make your
Theme Park Reservations for the days you plan to visit the parks as well. These Reservations can be made easily online as well and are free to do so. These are mainly for planning purposes for Disney and are required for park entry.
I hope you enjoy the final weeks of planning for your upcoming trip later this summer and if you have any further questions please feel free to reach out, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
