Hi! We purchased tickets for 2 days- 1 day Epcot and the other day Magic Kingdom. I have been thinking more about the Park Hopper option… and wondering if it is possible to add Animal Kingdom to one of our days?

Hi Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney! Less than one month until you arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm sure you are about ready to escape the chilly temperatures of Minnesota and spend some time in the warmer climate of the Walt Disney World Resort. The last few weeks leading up to the trip leave time to make some last-minute changes.

Trying to decide which parks to pick when you have two days to visit can be difficult. Each one is vastly different and offers unique attractions and experiences.  It seems like you have settled on my two favorites, the Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT as your choices. In my opinion, I need to walk down Main Street, U.S.A. and visit the World Showcase for it to be a complete Walt Disney World vacation. But Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park has some of the best shows and exhilarating rides that are hard to miss as well. Luckily, Disney has made it easy to visit all of the theme parks in a short amount of time.

Adding the Park Hopper Option to your existing 2-day ticket package will allow you to visit multiple theme parks in one day. You will be able to start your day in the Magic Kingdom Park and then jump over to Animal Kingdom Theme Park (or any park) after 2:00 PM. Since Park Hopper has to be added on for the entire length of your ticket package, you will have the option to park-hop on each day. This may even allow you to check out Disney's Hollywood Studios as well. To add, log in to your My Disney Experience account and select "Tickets and Passes". There should be an option to select "Change Ticket". If so, follow the prompts to add Park Hopper on. If this does not work, give the Existing Ticket line a call to speak to a Cast Member that will assist with this request. Please note, you will need to have a park reservation for your first park and also enter that park before you can hop to the next.

Based on the times that the parks have been opening, you may want to consider making Animal Kingdom Theme Park the first park you visit and then hopping to EPCOT after 2:00 PM. On average, Animal Kingdom has been opening about two hours earlier than EPCOT so you can maximize your day by doing so.

Jennifer, I hope this information helps you on your upcoming visit! Have a magical vacation!

    See ya real soon!
