I purchased 13 tickets (2 - day park hopper tickets) for family members. All the tickets are listed on my phone's Disneyland app. Can I transfer the tickets to multiple family members and if so, how do I do it? What is needed to do this?

Hey there, hi there, Cathleen!  Welcome back to planDisney. You've brought us a great question about transferring tickets with large parties and I'm here to help!

Oh boy! It sounds like you are quite the trip planner getting to plan for 13 people! You can definitely share the ticket information with your family members so that they can add their tickets to their Disney accounts. To do this, you would just share the ticket ID numbers of the corresponding tickets with your other family members/families. They then would be able to download the Disneyland app, create or sign in to their Disney accounts, and then link their tickets to their accounts.

The tickets will still actually be linked to your account as well, but it's totally fine to have tickets linked to multiple accounts. If you don't want the tickets of the other family members you can call Guest Services and have them remove the tickets from your account. Unfortunately, there isn't an option on the website or app to do this. However, I actually recommend that at least one person in a large party has all tickets linked to their account. It's just handy to have someone with all of them as a backup. It also is really convenient if you are going to use Disney Genie+. This means that you could easily schedule the next lightning lane for the whole group in one transaction rather than everyone on their phones trying to get the exact same return time.

I also recommend that each family unit or person go ahead and add a credit card to their Disneyland app in advance. This will make the check-out process for Disney Genie+ go faster once you enter the park, but also will make mobile ordering a lot less complicated. Mobile ordering is probably my favorite feature of the app. This allows you to order from participating quick-service locations from the app for a certain time and save time versus waiting in line to order.

Cathleen, I hope this helps you manage the tickets and your large party. Please come back and see us again with any other questions you might have! See you real soon!
