Setting up your MagicBand+ can be done in just a few steps. I am more than happy to share how you can do this before you arrive at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Because you already have the
My Disney Experience app downloaded, you can start the process by logging in to it. Then, click on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right of the home screen. Scroll down to "MagicBands & Cards." If you already have passes or tickets assigned to each Mouseketeer in your party, click on "Link a MagicBand or Card" (or "Pair Your MagicBand+ for your own). Tap your band to your phone and it's now linked to that Guest. Now, be careful because you can't reassign MagicBands+. So, be sure that you connect the MagicBand+ that you want for a particular person to that person.
AN EXTRA GEM: An even quicker way to link your MagicBand+ is to power it on and tap it to your phone. It should automatically take you to the app and jump you straight into the setup process.
A MagicBand+ can come in handy in so many ways while on your vacay. You can use it to tap into the theme park and
Lightning Lane entrances. With a charged MagicBand+, it can react to your surroundings by lighting up and vibrating during moments like fireworks displays and rides. Wearing one makes it that much more fun to go down the bayou at
Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom or walking through the
Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway queue. If you're staying on property, you can use a band to open your room door or to charge meals and merchandise to your Resort hotel.
