Welcome to planDisney, Danny! I fondly remember the first time I visited Disneyland Resort without my parents as an 18-year-old. That was many moons ago, and things have changed A LOT since then. One thing that hasn't changed is that The Happiest Place on Earth is still a safe and fun experience for kids of all ages. I'm happy to help ensure that your daughter and her friend have a magical day!
As long as your Mousketeers are 14 years of age or older, they can visit the parks unaccompanied, and the easiest way to do this is for at least one of them to have their own
Disneyland account. Once this step is done, you can link the tickets to her account. First, she'll open her
Disneyland mobile app and tap on the three horizontal lines near the bottom right of the screen to reach the main menu. Select "Tickets and Passes" and then the "+" symbol near the upper right corner of this screen. Then select "Link Tickets & Passes." She can enter the number manually or scan the bar code for each ticket (you can send her screenshots from your account) with her phone's camera.
One thing that all teenagers like to do is snack. Did you know that you can use a Disney Gift Card for
mobile orders through the Disneyland mobile app and other in-app purchases like
Disney Genie+ service? Currently, guests cannot link gift cards to their accounts, so I recommend that she type the Disney Gift Card number in the Notes section of her phone so that she can copy and paste it each time she needs to pay. One of my favorite must-try treats is the Funnel Cake at
Hungry Bear Restaurant. I'm getting a "Rumbly in my Tumbly" just thinking about it!
Please feel free to write us back anytime, Danny!
