Greetings, Martha, and welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by!
The magic of the Disneyland Resort is certainly calling your name, and it sounds like you're navigating a little detour with your August dates. Don't you worry, though! It's super common for plans to shift, and the good news is that theme park reservations are generally quite flexible.
If you purchased a multi-day theme park ticket directly through the
Disneyland website, you're likely in luck! Most unused multi-day tickets purchased recently are valid for use through January 12, 2027, giving you plenty of time to reschedule your pixie-dusted adventure. However, if you happened to have already used one of the days on your multi-day ticket, it's then valid for 13 days after that first magical scan.
The even greater news is that changing your reservations is a piece of cake—or, you know, one of those delicious
Disneyland churros! Simply head over to the
theme park reservations page and select "Make or Modify Park Reservations". Once you're signed in to your MyDisney account, you should see your existing reservations listed near the bottom of the page. From there, you can easily select "Modify Reservation" or "Cancel Reservation" for each date you'd like to adjust. You'll then be able to browse and make a new reservation for any available date that works better with your schedule. Just be sure to check the
reservation calendar for availability before you modify, as popular dates can fill up!
One important thing I want to note, Martha, is this: if your tickets were part of the special
Disneyland Anniversary Ticket Offer, these particular tickets are only valid for visits through August 14, 2025. It's an important distinction to make between standard park tickets and those purchased through this special offer. If you're unsure which type of ticket you have, you can usually find the expiration date listed on your confirmation email or by checking your tickets linked in the
Disneyland mobile app by tapping the menu (☰) button, followed by "My Tickets and Passes".
Lastly, Martha, I want to leave you with a few extra tips to make your visit even more magical. You'll want to become an “app-solute” pro with the Disneyland mobile app! It's like having a personal fairy godmother in your pocket, essential not only for managing your tickets and reservations, but also for checking real-time attraction wait times, browsing restaurant menus, and mobile-ordering eats and drinks ahead of time to save precious park time. You can also find character greeting spots and even locate
PhotoPass photographers throughout the parks. And remember, exploring the parks is an adventure for your feet, so be sure to stay hydrated by bringing a reusable water bottle to fill up at
water stations, and don't hesitate to schedule in some mid-day breaks to relax and recharge.
I hope this helps you sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your plans and easily reschedule your wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort! We can't wait for you to experience all the magic whenever you're ready. If any other questions pop up, please don't hesitate to ask!
