Hi, Carrie!
I'm glad you sent your question to planDisney. Visiting Disneyland Resort with a friend is one of the best ways to truly experience the magic! Just make sure to find out whether your friend is scared of elevators before taking her on Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!...I may be speaking from experience after riding it with a terrified friend!
Sharing tickets is as easy as saying Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo (or maybe even easier!), and downloading the
Disneyland app is the correct first step! Next, send your friend the ticket ID number or a screenshot she can print. Then, ask her to open the app and select the 3 bars at the bottom of the screen. Choose "My Tickets & Passes," and then select the blue "+" symbol at the top. From there, she can tap "Link Tickets & Passes" to either enter the ID number or use her camera to scan the barcode. The tickets will likely appear in both of your apps, which is actually helpful if you decide to purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass since it makes reserving return times for both of you much easier.
After that is complete, it is a good idea for her to spend a little time exploring the app before your visit. Looking at the park maps will help her get familiar with the park layout and see wait times, and she can start making a list of attractions she wants to ride. She can also check out which dining locations offer
mobile ordering, like
Cafe Daisy,
Flo's V8 Cafe, and the
Mint Julep Bar (yum, beignets!), as well as other treats and snacks she may want to indulge in. I like placing my lunch order early in the morning so my preferred time is available (because I'm not fun when I'm "hangry!").
Carrie, enjoy your visit to Disneyland! We hope to see you real soon!
Magic Happens!
Jen
