I purchased 2 tickets and assigned 2 different names. I even have a snapshot of each ticket with different names. In the end they both have my name on them. Do I need to have a name updated or can we both get in with my name on it?

Hello there, Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! It sounds like you’ve been getting everything ready for your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth—and I’m so glad you asked this question before your trip. The good news is that you don’t need to worry about those ticket names at all!

Even if both tickets currently show your name, each one can absolutely be used by a different Guest. Every ticket has its own unique ID number, so even if the names match, they’ll scan as separate entries at the gate. When you arrive at the turnstiles, each Guest’s photo will be taken as they scan in, and from that moment on, that ticket will automatically be linked to that person for the rest of the visit.

It sounds like you’ve already linked both tickets in your Disneyland app, which is perfect! You’ll be able to tell them apart easily by looking at the unique ID number below each barcode in the “My Tickets & Passes” section. To make entry quick and easy, I also recommend taking a screenshot of each ticket barcode as a backup—it’s a simple trick that can come in handy if your app takes a moment to load when you reach the gates.

Before your visit, Jennifer, don’t forget to make theme park reservations for the date(s) you plan to visit. Both a valid ticket and a park reservation are required for entry, and you can confirm or modify those details right in the Disneyland app or online at Disneyland.com.

If you’d like a little extra organization (especially when making Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections, for example), you can certainly request to have the names updated. It’s purely optional, but it can help keep everything tidy once your group starts selecting attraction return times or hopping between parks if you purchased Park Hopper tickets. A friendly Cast Member at the tickets phone line or at a ticket booth near the Main Entrance Esplanade can assist with that update.

I hope this helps put your mind at ease, Jennifer. You’re all set to enjoy your visit—and I’m wishing you a smooth, magical day at the Disneyland Resort!

    See ya real soon!
