We purchased tickets for April, 2020 and due to the COVID 19 have not traveled. I have cancer and will soon be 70 years old, my wife is 67. We were planning to bring our grandson for the trip. 1. How long are the tickets useable? 2. Can we get a refund?

Hello Ed, and welcome to planDisney. Thanks for sending us your question, and I'd be happy to assist you today.

I'm sorry to hear that like so many of us, you and your family had the disappointing experience of postponing a vacation last year. It sounds like you could sure use some pixie dust, and I think you'll be pleased to hear about Disney's flexible modification and cancelation policies during this time.

All theme park tickets with a usage window impacted by the spring park closure have been automatically extended to use any date through September 26, 2021. If you are unable to visit by September 26, 2021, you may apply the value of an unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date. To discuss cancellation and refund options, please call (407) 566-4985, and a friendly Cast Member will assist you.

Ed, I sincerely hope things turn around for all of us as soon as possible. It sounds like you and your family need a little Disney magic now more than ever. My own little Mouseketeers missed a few of their annual visits last year with their grandparents, and everyone is eager to get back to normal. When the time is right to plan your next vacation, we will be here to help answer all of your planning questions. While you wait, I recommend following the Disney Parks Blog and sharing some of the posted articles, recipes, and activities with your grandson. My kids loved recreating some favorite Disney recipes last spring. If you are Disney+ subscribers, check out the Imagineering Story; it's a great way to bring the Disney Parks right into your living room.

Thanks again for stopping by. I wish you the very best for a speedy recovery as we enter the new year.

Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,
    Betsy
