Hey Howdy Hey Gabriel and welcome to planDisney!
Florida residents have so many great perks when it comes to a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Being so close would probably be the biggest one! Disney does have some great offers as well for Florida residents to experience the Magic of Walt Disney World at reduced costs. To take advantage of those benefits, Disney does require Flordia residents to show proof of residence. This step may impact your question on the need to stop by will call or not.
As you are moving through the process of purchasing tickets, especially for Florida residents, you will have to log onto your My Disney Experience account or you can make these purchases through your My Disney Experience app. In most cases, you should have the option to
verify your proof of residence by either means electronically before you make your final purchase by going through the "Customize Your Tickets" step. As long as you can knock this step out, then you do not have to stop by the will call station before you visited the parks. These tickets can usually be purchased with an updated address on the My Disney Experience account but they are inactive. Once you stop by will call and show your
proof of residence, the Cast Member will then be able to activate your tickets.
Since you will be visiting Walt Disney World in mid-January, I wanted to let you know about the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. This festival is growing so much in popularity and has so many great ways to celebrate the arts all across the park. From visually stunning art demonstrates and projects, very entertaining performing art options and of course, a celebration of the culinary arts, there is something for everyone at this festival. Keep your eye out for more information on the dates and specific offerings of this festival at
Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest information.
I hope this information helped clear up your Florida resident ticket question. Please feel free to stop back and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
