Hi there, Martha, welcome to planDisney - and please thank your son, and his family, for their service.
While
Disneyland Resort Theme Park tickets are
nonrefundable, the window to use them is quite large. While the expiration date depends on when you originally purchased the tickets, the current expiration date for tickets purchased today is January 12, 2025.
Furthermore, even after they expire, Disneyland Resort Theme Park tickets are still able to be applied towards the purchase of a new Theme Park ticket at the current price of the ticket. A few caveats are that your existing tickets would need to be wholly unused, and would need to be equal to or less than the price of the new tickets.
I would recommend that you reach out to a
Cast Member at the Tickets line, though. That way, you can explain your situation, and they can help you find the best option available. I've had to call them a number of times, and they really are fantastic.
I noticed that you indicated an original arrival date for the end of March, so I also wanted to add that your
theme park reservation is separate from your tickets. As long as you do not scan your tickets at the entry gate, your tickets will have that long-term expiration window I explained above. If you scan your tickets at an entry gate, you would need to use all the days of your ticket within 13 days of first use.
I'm sorry if this wasn't the answer you were hoping for, Martha. However, I'm hopeful that you will still get the chance to visit the Disneyland Resort with your son and his family in the near future! Thank you again for your question, and please come back to see us again!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
