Hey there, Janet! I am so happy to welcome you to planDisney! What a treat for you to visit
Disneyland Resort together as a family! My kids and I went with my parents all throughout their childhood, and those are still some of our most treasured memories. Take all the pictures. Trust me, you will love looking back on them!
You can absolutely link your parents tickets on your app, or they can download the
Disneyland Mobile app and create their own account. From there, you can both add the tickets so everyone can scan themselves into the parks. This is super helpful if your group splits up for a bit. Maybe some head back for a hotel break while others sneak in one more attraction or wander through
Downtown Disney District!
The great news is that the names on the tickets don’t matter as much until that first scan into the theme parks. Once a ticket is scanned for the first time, a photo of the Guest is taken and it will then be linked to them for reentry or multi-day visits.
Have you secured your
Lightning Lane Multi Pass? I highly recommend adding that on to get faster to the magic access! It helps you skip into the magic with shorter waits for select attractions. And one of my favorite perks is the unlimited
Disney PhotoPass digital downloads, whether it is a ride photo, your family with Sleeping Beauty Castle shot, or other special moment captured by PhotoPass Cast Members, you have it all! If you didn’t add the service on when you purchased your tickets, no worries. You can add it each day of your visit right in the app. I was at Disneyland last week and I added it once I scanned into the parks. When I travel with my extended family, we make sure all of our tickets are linked in the app so that any of us can grab Lightning Lane return times for our whole group.
Janet, I hope you have a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Come see us again if you have any more questions, we are happy to help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Kimberly
