Hi Kaycie!
Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with this great question.
Kaycie, there are a few different possible scenarios with unused
Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets. Let’s unpack them, and hopefully one of these options helps point you in the right direction!
If your Walt Disney World theme park tickets were never used at all, the good news is that they usually don’t just disappear. Completely unused tickets typically keep their value. While they can’t be refunded for cash, the amount you originally paid can usually be applied toward new tickets for a future visit. If the price of tickets has gone up since 2021, you would simply pay the difference when you update them.
Things can look a little different if the tickets were partially used. Once the first day of a multi-day ticket is used, there is normally a specific window of time to use the remaining days. If that window passes, any leftover days may sometimes be reassigned toward a future visit, but that’s handled case by case and usually requires help from a Cast Member.
The easiest place to check is
by logging in to your My Disney Experience account and checking out the “
My Tickets and Passes” section. You’ll be able to see if the tickets are still linked there. If you don’t see them linked, you can try to link them now, if you have the ticket information. You can also reach out to a
Cast Member at Walt Disney World Guest Relations, who can look up the exact details and walk you through all your options.
I hope those 2021 tickets turn into a future Walt Disney World adventure! And if you have more questions while planning, please stop by and visit us again at planDisney.
Wishing you a magical day and sending those tickets some extra pixie dust!
Emille
