Hi Narcy, welcome to planDisney!
I completely understand that plans change all the time. While
theme park tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, they are valid until their stated expiration date. AND tickets are not assigned to a Guest until the Guest walks through the
Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Turnstiles, and has their ticket scanned and photo taken by the Cast Member. So even though your party member is no longer able to attend, hopefully, you can still use this ticket in the future for another magical trip to The Happiest Place on Earth!
And worst-case scenario, if your tickets happen to expire, you still have options. Per Disney's
eTicket Terms & Conditions, any wholly unused, expired Disneyland Resort theme park tickets (except for special event tickets or tickets purchased from a third party), can be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket in equal or greater value to what was paid for the original ticket. So hopefully you're fully covered in all situations!
With that said, I do want to mention many of the exciting experiences that are returning to the Disneyland Resort! The traditional character meet and greets are returning as soon as April 18, 2022. Mickey and his Pals will be ready to give the sweetest hugs and sign your autograph books! AND, the
Main Street Electrical Parade and
Disneyland Forever fireworks at Disneyland Park and
World of Color at Disney California Adventure Park are all returning on April 22, 2022. So you truly chose a great time to visit as you'll get to experience it all!
I hope you have the most magical time making lifelong memories!
See ya real soon!
