Welcome to planDisney, K.
Remy from Ratatouille once said that "the only thing predictable about life is its unpredictability." COVID-19 has certainly shown that to be true. I'm sorry that you had to cancel your previous plans to visit
Walt Disney World Resort. But here's the good news: now you get to enjoy
The Most Magical Celebration on Earth! There's a whole new world to see and experience, with new attractions, spectacular shows, memorable merchandise, dazzling décor, tasty treats, and delicious drinks. Mickey and his pals are eagerly waiting for you to join the EARidescent excitement.
But "let's get down to business" and figure out your ticket situation. If you have an unused ticket, then here's where I would begin: create and/or sign in to your
My Disney Experience account. Check to see if your ticket is visible on the "My Plans" page. If not, you may still need to
link your ticket. You should have received a ticket ID number when you made your original purchase (you might need to search your email inbox). Once you link your ticket using that ID number, you should be able to see if it's still valid or if it's expired. If your ticket has expired, then Hakuna Matata! You'll be pleased to know that the value of any unused ticket can be applied to a new ticket (you'll simply have to pay any difference in price). You'll just need to call "
Existing Tickets" and a Cast Member should be able to help you.
Once you have a valid ticket sorted, the magic truly begins! Once your ticket is linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can then make a
Theme Park reservation. K, have you heard of the new
Disney Genie service? This complimentary tool will help you plan your day in a way that prioritizes what's important to you. You can even upgrade the service to
Disney Genie+, which enables you to choose the next available arrival window for Lightning Lane entrances at select attractions and entertainment. In other words, you'll be able to experience more attractions with fewer wait times.
I hope that gives you some clarity, K. I hope you have an enchanting visit. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
Mike
