Krystal from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I purchased a ticket as a "gift" for my mom and I am having trouble getting it linked to my account. She will be going everywhere with us and I need her on my app so I can make her reservations with ours.

Hey there, Krystal! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question. Chatting Disney is my favorite, and I'm more than happy to help!

Wow! A visit to Walt Disney World Resort is the most magical gift with a pixie-dusted bow! I have a daughter, and spending the day making magical memories with her is priceless. Getting that unforgettable experience as a gift from her would be an absolute dream come true, and my heart is so full hearing that you are doing that for your mom. Since a dream is a wish your heart makes, let's chat about making your wish of having the BEST. DAY. EVER! at Disney with your mom come true!

If your mom already has a My Disney Experience account, the first thing you need to do is add her to your My Family & Friends List. I find that the easiest way to do this is on the My Disney Experience app. Have your mom log in to her app, tap the three-line menu icon at the bottom of the screen and then scroll down to tap "My Profile." She should then scroll down and tap "Show My Linking Code" and confirm it to get her unique QR code. Then, you log into your My Disney Experience app, go to "My Profile," tap "Family & Friends List" at the top of the screen, scroll down to tap "Add a Guest," and click "Scan their linking code" to scan her QR code and link her to your List. If you are not in the same place, just ask her to send you a screenshot of her QR code or follow the instructions under the code to manually enter it. Just be aware that the code expires within 30 minutes, so, you'll have to link right away. Now, you should be all set and ready to make plans together!

Once you and your mom are linked as Family & Friends, stay on your My Disney Experience app, click the three-line menu icon, click the "Tickets and Passes" tile and then the blue plus sign at the top of the screen. Click "Link Tickets & Passes" to enter or scan your mom's ticket code and assign it to her. Then, you should be able to view your mom's ticket and start planning your most magical day together!

While you and your mom are enjoying your BEST. DAY. EVER! together, don't forget to take advantage of Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering and Merchandise Mobile Checkout on the My Disney Experience app by clicking the plus sign at the bottom of the screen. Less time waiting in line means more time for having fun and making memories!

I hope this was helpful, Krystal, and I hope you and your mom have an unforgettable and priceless day together! Please stop by with any planning questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!

I hope to see ya real soon,

    Mandy
