I purchased a SoCal resident ticket (3 day, 1-park) last year before the Disneyland closure. Will I receive a refund for this? Or is the expiration extended into this year?

    Hi Kelsey,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for taking the time to swing by with your questions for us.

After temporarily shutting down more than a year, I’m guessing you’re perhaps eager to head back to the Happiest Place on Earth! I cannot wait to return to the theme parks and stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. again.

I have some good news for you, Kelsey. Disneyland Resort recently announced that promotional Southern California Resident tickets’ expiration date has been extended to December 16, 2021. There’ll be some blockout dates (July 4; and November 20-17, 2021) and they can be used on non-consecutive days. With the theme parks opening back up end of April, you’ll have plenty of time to use your previously purchased tickets before they expire mid-December!

Kelsey, please be sure to link your Promotional Southern California Resident tickets to your Disney account as soon as you can. Starting April 12, 2021, you may begin making your reservations for park entry. To manage attendance, this is a new process that all Guests are required to do prior to their arrival. The process is fairly simple: just link your tickets to your Disney account prior to accessing the theme park reservation system, create your travel party, choose a date and park you wish to visit, then review your selections and confirm. You’ll be all set for your upcoming trip!

I hope this information is helpful for you, Kelsey. Please visit us on planDisney again if you have more questions for us. We’re all EARS!

    Have a magical day,

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
