I purchased the socal 3 day ticket last week before the announcement of the magic keys. Is there a way to put the money I spent on the tickets towards the magic key after purchase? The magic key passes are so limited and there's no option to upgrade.

Hi Tiffany! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

I was told by a helpful Cast Member that upgrades to the current SoCal Special Ticket Offer were possible at the main ticket booths. You'd pay the difference, applying the value of the SoCal Special Ticket Offer toward the purchase of the Magic Key. Prices and terms are subject to change.

If you can't get to the parks soon and you're worried about the Magic Key of your choice selling out, I'd suggest going ahead about buying your Magic Key online without applying the upgrade. You can still use your SoCal Special Ticket Offer, which is a great value, and delay activating the new Magic Key until after you've used your tickets. When you do finally activate, you'll have a full year of access to the magic ahead of you, rather than the original date of purchase.

Be sure you've read through all the terms and benefits associated with the Magic Keys. They all offer a year of magic, discounts, and perks, but there are important differences, including blockout dates, which you'll want to be familiar with when making your selection. And if you're considering an Imagine Key, be sure your ZIP Code is eligible and you have a valid government-issued ID for entry proving your residence. When adding a Magic Key to the cart, you'll have the option to select monthly payments if your profile is updated to reflect your California address. That's a great option!

    Good luck.
