Hey there, Janim! Thanks for your question, and welcome to planDisney! Congratulations on becoming a Magic Key holder! I'm excited for you and your upcoming year of magic and am delighted to help with your question.
Unfortunately,
tickets are not transferrable and must be used by the same person on any and all days. Although this is most likely not the answer you were hoping for, I do have some suggestions for you. If you haven't already activated your new Magic Key pass, you can hold off activating it until you use the remaining two days from your
SoCal Resident ticket (subject to availability). Something else to consider, you have until May 25 to complete the use of your SoCal Resident ticket. If you've already activated your Magic Key pass, there's still the possibility of using your SoCal Resident ticket if/when reservations are not available as a Magic Key holder (even for your desired starting park). You can always compare the
Magic Key calendar with the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar, keeping in mind
blockout dates that may apply to your SoCal Resident ticket and reservations are subject to availability.
I hope this was helpful, Janim. Again, probably not the answer you were hoping for, but I hope I was able to give you some ideas on how to make use of both your SoCal ticket and your Magic Key pass. You have so much to look forward to with all the exciting things happening at the Disneyland Resort. The resort is all dressed up in its platinum and purple best for the
Disney100 Celebration.
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is open (and such a fun ride, I might add) in addition to two nighttime spectaculars that just made their debut. Of the two, my favorite was
Wondrous Journeys - Baymax flying over Sleeping Beauty Castle is an unforgettable sight. You'll be able to experience all this and more during your magical year as a Magic Key holder!
Thank you for sharing your question with us at planDisney, Janim. Let us know if you have any others. We love to help!
Have a magical year!
