Welcome to planDisney, Linda.
I seem to remember something happening in 2020 that ruined a lot of people's Disneyland Resort plans. I'm sorry that you were one of those people! If you can't make it to The Happiest Place on Earth before your tickets expire, then Hakuna Matata! You'll be pleased to know that the original value of expired theme park tickets can always be applied towards the purchase of new tickets. You'll just have to pay any difference in price.
When you're ready to plan your next trip, here's what you need to do: call
"Tickets" at Guest Services and a helpful Cast Member will help you apply the value of your tickets to some new tickets. You'll just want to have your ticket details with you when you call.
Just be aware that there have been some changes over the past couple of years. One of those changes is that Guests now need both a
valid ticket and
theme park reservation in order to visit their desired park. In order to be good, hospitable hosts, Mickey and Minnie like to know how many Guests they should expect each day. You can make theme park reservations up to 120 days in advance. They can also be canceled or modified. Since each park has a capacity limit, you'll want to make your reservations sooner rather than later. Check out the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to get an idea of park availability.
Another new feature available to Guests is
Disney Genie+. By upgrading your ticket to include Disney Genie+, you'll be able to make Lightning Lane selections at many of the attractions in the park and skip the regular standby lines. My family purchased Disney Genie+ for 5 days on our most recent visit and we were able to experience so many attractions each day. Another perk Disney Genie+ brings is being able to enjoy unlimited
Disney PhotoPass digital downloads each day.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Linda. See ya real soon!
