I purchased single day tickets to disneyland for Dec 4 that cost $169/ticket. I just found out that we may need to switch our day to Monday Dec 5. Dec 5th tickets cost $144. Will I be able to get a refund for the difference in price between the days?

    Hi Sarah, welcome to planDisney!

As you are aware, the Disneyland Resort uses a ticketing tier system for standard one-day theme park tickets. This means the price of the ticket will vary depending on the theme park reservation date that you select. Tickets currently range from Tier 1 to Tier 6. Tier 1 has the most restrictions in terms of eligible reservation dates and Tier 6 has the least number of restrictions. The ticket that you purchase will be valid for admission on the date you selected and on dates in the same or lower tier. This gives you the flexibility to change your reservations yourself from within your Disneyland Resort account. Unfortunately, changing your reservations from a higher Tier day to a lower Tier day will not result in a refund of the ticket price difference. You can always try calling the Disneyland Resort Ticket Line at 714-781-4636 to see if the Cast Members can make an exception, but please know that it is unlikely.

In the meantime, I can certainly help walk you through the steps of changing your reservation dates! First and foremost, you will want to check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to ensure the park you're hoping to visit on December 5, 2022, has reservations available. If all looks good, the next step you will need to do is cancel your current reservation. To cancel your current theme park reservation, you will need to log in to your Disneyland Resort account, select the "My Disneyland" link, and then click the "Ticket and Reservation Details" link. Select the reservation you wish to cancel and click "Cancel Reservation". Once canceled, you're free to go ahead and book your new reservation!

I hope that helped, and if you have any more questions, please visit us again!
