Hi Kate,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Tickets to the Walt Disney World Resort are magical!
If you have to pick up tickets, I suggest you pick them up the evening prior. But since tickets are generally purchased online, I am not quite sure why you would need to pick them up at a ticket window. I do apologize if I am missing something here!
When we purchase our park tickets, we purchase them online. As long as we have created a My Disney Experience Account, we can link the tickets to our online account. We have always received a
MagicBand or Admission Card in the mail prior to our visit. MagicBands are complimentary for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel but they can also be purchased from Shop Disney Parks online if you are not staying on property. MagicBands function just like your tickets and they allow you to scan in to rides using Fast Pass+.
One of the biggest benefits to creating a My Disney Experience Account and linking your theme park tickets online is that you can make
Fast Pass+ reservations for up to three rides per day in advance - 30 days in advance with just theme park tickets and 60 days in advance if you are also staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. With Fast Pass+, you can select a ride time window - so, for example, you could reserve Seven Dwarfs Mine Train from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and be able to ride that attraction (with a minimal wait) once during that hour.
Kate, I must congratulate you on securing that early morning breakfast reservation! If it is pre-park opening, just be sure to find the line at the entrance for folks with pre-park opening breakfast reservations.
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
