I hope you enjoyed a most magical stay at your Walt Disney World vacation! I'm sorry to hear that the bit of magic you brought home wasn't quite the right magic. I can share that I have made purchases in the theme parks that unfortunately have turned out not quite right when returning home, and so I understand how that can be a disappointment.
I understand you visited the website shown on the receipt. I am wondering if there is a phone number shown on the receipt for the store location? In my experience, the return policies can vary from store to store, and they can even vary with the type of merchandise. I know that in one situation this year, I was able to receive a refund for a purchase I made in
Magic Kingdom Park, but I needed to pay for shipping to return the item after calling to arrange the return and being provided with an RMA (return merchandise authorization). My best suggestion is to see if there is a phone number displayed on the receipt so that you can call and speak with someone about options for making a return. I can't say for certain what the outcome would be, but I think it's worth giving a try.
