Hiya Kenneth, welcome to planDisney!
I'm glad to hear you and your family will be answering magic's call to Walt Disney World Resort's
50th Anniversary Celebration next month. The foodies in your party should take a look at the
Foodie Guide to the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. In between stops at the festival's outdoor kitchens, the thrill-seekers in your group should definitely experience
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which is set to launch on May 27, just before your visit.
Congrats on securing your theme park tickets. The next steps, which you may have already completed, are to
link your tickets in
My Disney Experience and secure
theme park reservations for each person for each park day using the Disney Park Pass System. The
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar shows May dates are starting to fill up and you want to make sure Mickey knows when you're coming.
By adding the other members of your party as
Family and Friends, Kenneth, you've completed another important step in the Disney planning process. Being connected as Family and Friends lets you make and share activities with others. They can also make plans for you. This is especially convenient when booking
Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions and/or making Individual Lightning Lane purchases.
Names listed under the "We're Planning Together" heading in My Disney Experience are individuals with whom you have a shared reservation such as a resort or dining reservation. This doesn't include tickets, which are assigned to individuals. Names listed under "My Other Family and Friends" are those with whom you
don't currently have a shared reservation. For example, I currently have an individual whose My Disney Experience profile is managed by me that appeared on my "My Other Family and Friends List" this morning. I made a dining reservation with him today and he automagically moved to my "We're Planning Together" list. The good news is that all persons on your
Family and Friends list can be planned for equally, no matter which list they're on.
I hope this news gives you some peace of mind, Kenneth. You're doing a great job planning your family's Walt Disney World Resort vacation and I hope you have a magical time in the parks.
Plan magic; planDisney.
