I purchased a savi’s build your own saber just over a year ago and have had problems since arriving back home. The crystal does NOT stay engaged. Is there a fix for this?! Thank you, Danny

    Hello Daniel!

I know that you must love your Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsaber! Unfortunately, you do not have a Droid to return your Lightsaber to functionality again! As a Lightsaber Padawan, I have an idea to help secure your Kyber Crystal in place.

The Kyber Crystal in the Lightsaber is pointed on each end. The points of the Kyber Crystal fit into little divots on the top and bottom of the Kyber Crystal chamber under the Lightsaber On/Off switch (which is two separate parts). The bottom platform with the divot for the Kyber Crystal to fit in also has a spring in it to push the Kyber Crystal up to secure the point of the Kyber Crystal into the top divot. The Spring may not be pushing the Kyber Crystal far enough up to secure the Kyber Crystal in place and enable your Lightsaber to be activated. The sizes of Kyber Crystal vary a bit, according to my experience so you may have a smaller-sized Kyber Crystal. I recommend getting a small metal washer and placing it on the bottom platform to push your Kyber Crystal toward the top round platform divot (make sure the washer has a hole in the middle of it to place the bottom point of your Kyber Crystal in it). I hope that this solves your Lightsaber issue.

May the Force be with you in your galactic quest to restore your Lightsaber to its former glory!
