Hiya Nancy!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm sorry that your husband is not doing well and you must cancel your trip to
Walt Disney World Resort. It just won't be the same to enjoy the Parks while ill or having a loved one ill and I know you are making the right decision.
Since you purchased your vacation package with the help of a Travel Agent, you will have to contact them to cancel and access any travel protection benefits. There could be some fees with cancellation since it is less than 30 days from your trip arrival but I hope your travel protection can cover that and you be fully refunded. There are no guarantees as each travel protection has different exclusions and coverages. Just speak to your travel agent for the details.
If you ever plan on coming back again when things are better know that there are plenty of ways to have a great experience if your husband's health is disabling.
Disability Access Service provides guests with an opportunity to not wait in a traditional queue environment due to a disability. You can either speak to Cast Members before you arrive with
DAS Advance or when you arrive head to Guest Relations for assistance. It may help to have the option to have the extra time to rest and recuperate instead of standing in a long queue. Just know that a mobility disability is not covered by DAS services as they would suggest a wheelchair or scooter.
I hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to let us know.
Be well and Happy Planning!
