Hello Jennifer and welcome back to planDisney!
If you are like me, you are having the Disney blues from being home after your trip to the magic in January! It usually takes me a good ten or eleven months to get over that feeling, at least that's the excuse I use to my wife when I’m making plans for our next trip before our last one even ends!
Running to the nearest refillable mug purchasing spot and filling up our mug is usually the very first thing we do after we hear the welcome home greeting when we arrive at our
Walt Disney World resort!
The mugs are valid for the length of your stay, up to 14 days. Each mug has an RFID chip on the bottom, and once your stay ends, the chip, and the mug, are no longer active for refills. So, you will not be able to reuse it for your upcoming trip in November.
That is probably not the answer you were hoping for, but I have some great ideas for your current mug. Find it a friend. Or 20 like I did. As I look across my kitchen, I see a cabinet that is jammed full of old refillable mugs. I use them every day. Most I have gathered from my many trips to Disney, but some I sheepishly admit, I have purchased from thrift shops and yard sales. I cannot leave one behind. They call to me like a friend. My wife has handed some off to family members to free up some cabinet space at times, but I know when there's room for more.
Jennifer, I guess I only had one great idea, but my save the mug campaign will have to start small.
One more item to remember in November is to watch the dates to be released for
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom and
Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! So much fun! The dates have not yet been announced but in the past, both started in early November. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any details on when tickets will become available.
Jennifer, have a second magical trip and after you grab that second refillable mug, enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
