I purchased and put a down payment for 2 Disneyland Anaheim passes before the covid 19 craziness what will happen with them?

    Hey there Paul!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We’re so glad you stopped by!

I see you've joined the Annual Passholder club! A warm welcome from all of us Annual Passholders. You’re going to love all of the wonderful benefits that come with being an Annual Passholder. One big perk that was added this year was the reopening of the Alfresco Tasting Terrace inside Disney California Adventure Park. It is exclusive for Annual Passholders and their guests. It’s the perfect place to relax with a drink or small bite and take a break from all the fun. My favorite benefit from being an Annual Passholder is the discounts on select food and merchandise. If you haven’t already been to the Phased Reopening of the Downtown Disney District, you may want to go check it out and use your Annual Passholder discount. Not only is it good at World of Disney but a lot of the restaurants offer a discount as well.

It sounds like you may not have had a chance to use your Annual Passport before the closures. If that’s the case then we’re still waiting to hear more information as to when new Annual Passports will be activated for use. If you purchased a Flex Passport then it becomes active once you make your first reservation. All other Annual Passports become active once you scan and enter a park for the first time.

If you did enter the parks and have an active Annual Passport then we are just waiting for a reopening date for the parks. You'll need to make a park reservation for entry and there will be more information later on that system as well. Your payments should have stopped and you will not be paying while the parks are closed. Rest assured that the Disneyland Resort is working closely with local and state officials to ensure a safe and efficient reopening. Once the parks do open back up, your payment schedule will resume and your passport will expire on it’s regularly scheduled expiration date. As an alternative, you can request for your passport to be extended for the time that the parks were closed and those payments would then be extended at the end of your term. A new expiration date would then reflect the extension. If you would like to request this option you can call Annual Passport Member Services for assistance.

Well Paul, I hope you found this information useful and if you think of anything else please come back and let us know!

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
