I just purchased a portable misting system by the Extreme Mist company. It is a small misting pump that is powered by a small portable battery and a 2 liter hydration pack, a few misting nozzles and really small hoses. Would this be allowed in the parks?

Hello Jordan! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sending your first question. I will do my best to help you prepare for your upcoming August trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Ensuring your comfort and safety during your trip is paramount, Jordan. Given the sunny and warm days in August, it's crucial that you stay hydrated and cool. I understand your concern, and I'm here to help. I've personally used battery-powered personal fan devices without any issues inside the theme parks. Additionally, I always carry a cooling towel, as they are incredibly convenient, easy to carry, and effectively keep my family cool throughout the day.

When it comes to the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules about bringing a portable misting system, there's no specific regulation against it. However, keep in mind that larger bags, coolers, or backpacks are not allowed if they're bigger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Also, loose or dry ice is a no-go, but reusable ice packs are totally fine.

If your backpack is smaller and doesn't have dry ice, you might be good to go, but it's ultimately up to the security agents at the gates. They might ask you to empty any water, but you can refill it once you're through security.

I hope this helps, Jordan. Please feel free to come back and ask us more questions whenever you'd like. We are always happy to help a good friend like you.

    Cheers
