We have purchased the Platinum package for our trip in July. I am just now hearing about dining credits. How do I know how many each restaurant needs? How are credits calculated, i.e. lunch, dinner, breakfast, etc.?

    Hi Donna,

With the Platinum Plan, you are given an allotted amount of meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner & 2 snacks per person, per night of your package) . This is different than the regular "Plus" Dining Plan which gives a certain amount of credits for a limited number of Table Service meals. With that plan, the majority of the restaurants will require one table service credit each. However, there are several "Signature Restaurants" that use 2 credits. Since you have the Platinum Plan, you won't need to concern yourself with how many credits each restaurant uses. In your case, you will be able to choose from any of the restaurants on the list for any of your meals. For a complete list, you'll want to view the 2012 Disney Platinum Dining Plan PDF HERE.

You will want to be sure to make your Advanced Dining Reservations up to 180 days ahead by calling 407-WDW-DINE. To get the most out of your package, I recommend that you choose many of the Signature Restaurants (designated by a blue square and a "D" on the PDF). The character meals are another great way to really get your money's worth.

Have a wonderful vacation and please let me know if I can help you further by sending me a follow-up question,
